Facilities at the Model Village

I recently visited the Blackpool Model Village and Gardens and was impressed by their commitment to improving their facilities. They are always making upgrades and improvements to ensure that visitors have the best possible experience.

One of the things they offer is toilet and baby changing facilities, and I was pleased to hear that the work on the Gent's and Ladies' toilets has been completed. They have also added a disabled toilet, which is great news for visitors who require these facilities.

In terms of disabled access, they have made every effort to accommodate visitors with disabilities. The site is fully paved, making it easy to navigate for those in wheelchairs or power scooters. There are no stairs to negotiate, and the Gift Shop even has a spare wheelchair available to loan out to visitors who may need assistance getting around the 2 ½ acre gardens and displays. Additionally, they have a motorized scooter available for use within the village if needed.

The Blackpool Model Village and Gardens also offers special rates for carers and their party, and you can find more information on this at the Gift Shop.

When it comes to refreshments, you won't go hungry or thirsty at Blackpool Model Village and Gardens. The gift shop sells a range of snacks and refreshments, including hot drinks, tea, coffee, soft drinks, and milkshakes.

Don't forget to try their delicious ice cream at Anita's Ice Cream Parlour.

If you want to take home a souvenir of your visit, you can browse the gift shop for mementoes. They also have a wheelchair available to assist the elderly and infirm in appreciating the delights of the Model Village Gardens.

Lastly, dogs are allowed into the village for free, as long as they are kept on a lead.

Car and coach parking is available on-site as well.

Overall, we were impressed with the accessibility and amenities at the Blackpool Model Village and Gardens, making it a great destination for visitors of all abilities.
